We’re celebrating World Chocolate Day 2020 with a delicious, melty chocolate fondant! Sometimes called Lava Cakes or Molten Chocolate Cakes, these soft-centred desserts are rich with an intense chocolate flavour.
Today we’ll be diving headfirst into a bowl of 5 A Day Soup! The orange hues and sweet fragrance of our Carrot & Butternut soup (with a hint of chilli!) captures all the earthy goodness that this soup has to offer in a perfect balance between sweet & spicy. Our 5 A Day Carrot & Butternut with a Hint of Chilli is one of our fruitier soups, so read on to find out exactly why it’s just so good for us!
Hey Soupologistas! If you haven’t already, I highly recommend you treat yourself to the first recipe in our kids’ school meal week with Cornflake (Sunshine) Tart! Today, I thought we would stick with the pastry theme but go down a more savoury route. So, let’s journey back to childhood with this creamy and herby pie (100% vegan!).
Nothing beats a fudgy, gooey brownie when you need some comfort food. Using a handful of ingredients, this recipe is dairy and egg-free, while also being dense with bits of melty semi-sweet chocolate. Each bite of these brownies celebrates their crisp chocolatey outer layer, the chewy edges and the rich, moist centre. Gluten-free substitutes work just as well in this recipe so everyone can enjoy them!
Today we’re making fresh orecchiette! The meaning of orecchiette comes from orecchie meaning ear. Conversely, the suffix -ette just denotes that they’re small. So, we’re making fresh little ears! But seriously, this is one of the best pasta shapes to begin your pasta-making experience as it’s super easy to shape. The pasta dough itself only consists of 2 ingredients – semolina and water. You can use plain flour if you are unable to get your hands on semolina flour or 00 pasta flour. This dough does not use any eggs. So this recipe is suitable for vegans and egg-allergy sufferers!
